Rick West, of Rocky Mount, North Carolina won the RAM American Fishing Tour Division 17, North Carolina Central 2-day Championship Tournament on the Roanoke River.  The event was held on the Roanoke River on 5 & 6 August, 2017, launching out of Water Street Ramp in Plymouth, North Carolina.

James Johnson wins on the Roanoke River

James Johnson, of Windsor, North Carolina won the RAM American Fishing Tour presented by American Bass Anglers, North Carolina Central Division 17 tournament.  The event was held on the Roanoke River on 29 July 2017, launching out of Water Street Ramp in Plymouth, North Carolina.  James caught 5 bass weighing 14.96 lbs.

Randy VanHorn Wins on Chowan River

Randy VanHorn, of Williamston, North Carolina won the AFT Division 17, North Carolina Central tournament on the Chowan River.  The event was held on 8 July 2017, launching out of the Highway 13 Ramp (Shoups Landing) in Winton, North Carolina.  Randy caught 5 bass weighing 12.03 lbs.  Randy said he caught his fish down river.  Congratulation Randy.  Rick West had big fish of the tournament with a 3.89 pounder.

Mike Colbert Wins on Lake Gaston

Mike Colbert of Newport, North Carolina won the AFT D17 North Carolina Central tournament on Lake Gaston. The event was held on Lake Gaston on April 29th launching out of Stonehouse Creek Ramp. Mike caught five bass weighing 11.64 pounds. He caught his fish within a mile of the launch site on soft plastics and crank baits. Congratulation Mike.

Larry Thomas of Washington, North Carolina won the AFT Division 17 North Carolina Central tournament on the Roanoke River. This is a back-to-back win in D17 for Larry. The event was held on April 1st, launching out of Water Street Ramp in Plymouth, North Carolina.

Larry Thomas Wins on Pamlico

Larry Thomas of Washington, North Carolina won the AFT D17, North Carolina Central tournament on the Pamlico River. The event was held on the Pamlico River on March 18th, launching out of Tranters Creek Ramp in Washington, North Carolina. Larry caught five bass weighing 17.23 pounds. He said he caught most of his fish between the mouth of Tranters Creek and the bridge where we launched, about a quarter mile stretch, on a jig. Congratulation Larry.

Drayton Wins on Roanoke

Nathaniel Drayton of Jacksonville, North Carolina won the 3rd event of the 2017 season for AFT Division 17, North Carolina Central. The event was held on the Roanoke River on November 12th launching out of Water Street Ramp in Plymouth, North Carolina. Nathaniel caught five bass weighing 8.86 pounds and the only five fish limit of the tournament. He went up river and caught his fish on wood using a jig and Zoom Trick worms. Congratulations Nathaniel.
