Stoffers Wins on Lake MacBride

Tony Stoffers won the Ram American Fishing Tour District 73 qualifier, presented by American Bass Angles on May 15th at Lake MacBride, Iowa.  The Davenport angler brought in one fish weighing 3.51 pounds. The high winds and cold front conditions created tough conditions for all anglers with only three competitors bringing in fish to weigh. Tony won by flipping Z-man chatter baits around isolated cover.

Bush Wins on Lake Geode


Mike Bush won the Ram American Fishing Tour District 73 qualifier, presented by American Bass Angles on May 14th at Lake Geode, Iowa. The Burlington angler brought in two fish weighing 5.83 pounds. The high winds and cold front conditions created tough conditions for all anglers with only four competitors bringing in fish to weigh.  Mike won by flipping Missile Jigs and Missle baby da bombs around isolated cover.

Peck Wins Division 73 Two-Day Championship on Mississippi River

Bob Peck of Montpelier, IA won the Ram American Fishing Tour District 73 Divisional Championship tournament on a windy, cold front weekend fishing in the Muscatine & New Boston Pools of the Mississippi River.  For the weekend, Peck brought in six fish for 11.75 pounds of total weight, including Big Bass of 1.86 pounds on Day One.  Big Bass on Day Two was caught by Chris Yuska and was weighed in at 3.56 pounds.  Second place for the tournament went to Bob Mindock at 9.14 pounds and 3rd place was Chris Yuska at 6.81 pounds.  

This was a tough river tournament with very low water levels and windy cold front conditions.  The anglers stayed tough and managed to bring in enough Iowa bass to have fun!  This was our last District 73 tournament of the year.  

2015 District 73 points standings should end up as follows (top 4 tournaments plus divisional):
1.  Bob Peck
2.  Bob Mindock
3.  Brad Entsminger (tie)
3.  Chris Yuska (tie)

Bob Peck Wins at Mississippi River Pool 12

On June 14, 2015, Bob Peck of Montpelier, Iowa  wins ABA District 73 at Mississippi River Pool 12 - Bellevue, Iowa.

On a cloudy overcast day, Bob Peck weighed in three fish weighing 7.45 lbs.  Bob caught his fish slow rolling a War Eagle spinner bait around main channel current breaks. Congrats Bob for being the CHAMPION at this event.

Due to the high, muddy water, we did not have any full limits weighed in. A total of 12 bass were weighed in with a combined weight of 25.04 lbs for an average weight per fish of 2.09 lbs. Bob Peck also won big bass of the day weighing in a big largemouth at 3.42 lbs.

The top five places are as follows:
1. Bob Peck - 3 fish - 7.45 lbs.
2. Kenny Entsminger - 3 fish - 5.83 lbs.
3. Chris Yuska - 3 fish - 5.03 lbs,.
4. Brad Entsminger - 1 fish - 2.68 lbs.
5. Rob Mindock - 1 fish - 2.35 lbs.

Our next tournament is scheduled for July 13th & 14th, 2015 in Mississippi River Pool - 10, Lansing, IA.
