Whisenant Takes the Win on Clarks Hill

Athens, Al - Robin Whisenant won the American Fishing Tour Georgia East division 26 tournament with five fish weighing 24.86 held on Clark Hill on 03/08/2015.
Whisenant caught his fish out in Georgia Flats - on the lower part of the lake - using stick baits and crankbaits. Robin Whisenant also managed to bring in a 7.15 pounder to take the big bass honors.
Bobby Stanfill finished in second with five fish weighing 18.94 pounds fishing Allen Murray came in third with 17.25 pounds. Bart Blackburn came in fourth with 17.12 pounds.Twenty-two anglers fished this Clarks Hill Lake one-day qualifying tournament. It started out at 39 degrees and ended with the 4:00 pm weigh-in at 60 degrees. It was sunny with winds light and variable from the west. Water temperature was in the low 50 to 53 degrees. The main lake was stained at the Little River Bridge the lower lake was very lightly stained.Next Event for the Georgia East Division 26:

These anglers earn valuable points toward the divisional angler of the year title. The points champion from each division will compete in the annual American Bass Anglers AFT Angler of The Year Final Round at the AFT Championship. In addition, the top 500 anglers from the various divisions will earn the right to compete in the three-day ABA, AFT National Championship tournament.
The American Fishing Tour offers low cost, close to home bass tournaments that are designed for the weekend angler. All ABA anglers fish for money and points. The points advance the angler to their divisional championship and the top 500 anglers in the US are invited to the American Fishing Tour National Championship.
