Athens, Al - Tim Wiltfong of Wake Forest, NC won the American Fishing Tour North Carolina East division 15 tournament with 5 fish weighing 16.16 pounds held on Falls Lake on 03/21/2015.

Running out of Ledge Rock Landing near Creedmoor, NC, the Wake Forest, NC, angler caught 5 bass weighing 16.16 pounds. Tim took home a check for $195.00. Tim caught his fish on worms crank baits jigs and spinner baits.

In second among the competitors, Jason Taylor of Richlands, NC, caught 3 bass weighing 7.14 pounds.   

Taking third place, Chad Conwell of Hookerton, NC, caught 1 bass weighing .88 pounds.

The day started out in the low 40's, winds about 4 mpr and water temps 52. By weigh-in temp were up to the low 60's and water temp was 57. A real nice day..

These anglers earn valuable points toward the divisional angler of the year title. The points champion from each division will compete in the annual American Bass Anglers AFT Angler of The Year Final Round at the AFT Championship. In addition, the top 500 anglers from the various divisions will earn the right to compete in the three-day ABA, AFT National Championship tournament.

The American Fishing Tour offers low cost, close to home bass tournaments that are designed for the weekend angler. All ABA anglers fish for money and points. The points advance the angler to their divisional championship and the top 500 anglers in the US are invited to the American Fishing Tour National Championship.
