Tim Brecht Wins on Buffumville Lake

Tim Brecht won the American Bass Anglers Division 97 tournament held June 28, 2015, on Buffumville Lake in Charlton, MA.

Tim caught five bass weighing 15.67 pounds with a 5.06 pound kicker that was .06 pounds shy of being the big fish of the day. For the victory, Tim took home a check for $425.  All his fish were taken with a weightless Senko in very shallow water.  This was Tim’s second win in a row and his third win in 2015, which has put him on top in the divisional AOY race.                                                                         

In second among the competitors, was Paul Figueiredo who caught five bass weighing 11.41 pounds, including his 5.12 pound lunker. Third place was won by Craig Pikul.

It rained most of the day, clearing just in time for weigh-in.  Strong winds blew for most of the day, gusting to 30mph. 

These anglers accrued valuable points toward the divisional angler of the year title. The points champion from each division will compete in the annual RAM American Fishing Tour National Championship on Lake Hartwell. 

The next divisional tournament will be held July 12th, 2015 on Congamond Lake.  Tournament hours are 0600 – 1400.

The RAM American Fishing Tour offers low cost, close to home bass tournaments that are designed for the weekend angler. All ABA anglers fish for money and points. The points advance the angler to their divisional championship and the top 500 anglers in the US are invited to the American Fishing Tour National Championship.
