Welcome to the American Fishing Tour

Jay Carter Takes Win and Claims AOY on Stockton Lake

American Bass Anglers Division 126 held its Two-Day Championship August 1-2, 2015 on Stockton Lake. You could say it was a tough bite, then look at the results and you’ll know it was a tough bite. Only nine fish were weighed in on Day One, with the lead going to Jay Carter with two fish that weighed 3.84lbs. Michael Henderson of Lamar had Big Bass with a 2.76 pound largemouth.

Day Two was a little better with 23 fish coming to the scales. Carter held the lead with four fish weighing 8.30 pounds giving him the winning total of 12.14 pounds. Second place went to Mike Dill with 7.26 pounds, which included Big Bass for Day Two and Big Bass of the tournament, a largemouth weighing 5.61 pounds.

In addition to winning the tournament, Jay Carter captured Angler of the Year for Division 126 which qualifies him to compete in the AOY Fish-Off to be held on Hartwell Lake in South Carolina October 22-24, 2015. He will fish against 40-60 AOY's for a fully rigged Triton Bass Boat.

ABA will invite the top 500 anglers from all divisions to fish the 2015 Ram American Fishing Tour National Championship which will be held at the same time as the AOY Fish-Off. The top 250 anglers will be guaranteed boaters, the next 250 will be non-boaters. The winner and the highest finishing non-boater of this tournament will each receive a fully rigged Triton Bass Boat.
