Welcome to the American Fishing Tour

Kevin Thompson Takes the Win at Lake Hamilton

The fourth tournament of the 2016 Ram American Fishing Tour Division 47 season was held on Lake Hamilton December 19th, 2015.  A recent cold front dropped air temperatures into the lower 30's, but the water remained in the mid to upper 50's due to the warmer than normal December; keeping some quality fish up shallow and many fish scattered.  Lake Hamilton, usually a very clear lake, was stained due to recent heavy rains but that didn’t stop the parade of limits crossing the scales. Thirty-one anglers caught 124 fish for a total weight of 220.59 pounds, nearly a two pound average. Twenty limits were brought to the scales.

Kevin Thompson topped the field with a five fish limit with a total weight of 18.30 pounds. Kevin threw a jig to haul in his limit.

Fred Martin, placing second, sacked up five fish for a total weight of 12.34 pounds. Fred relied on a dropshot rig to fill his livewell.

Rounding out the top three was Bill Cerrato. Bill threw a jig to sack up five fish for a total weight of 11.90 pounds. Bill also caught the days Big Bass at 5.51 pounds.

1st     Kevin Thompson  18.30 pounds
