Henry Fristik Wins on Congamond Lake

Henry Fristik won the American Bass Anglers Ram American Fishing Tour Division 97 tournament held April 17th, on Congamond lake in Southwick Massachusetts.  Henry was one of only two anglers that managed to catch a five bass limit with a total of 17.64 pounds anchored by a 5.13 pound largemouth.  Fish were caught with a variety of techniques but it seemed that slow moving baits attracted the most fish. For his win, Henry took home a check for $543.

In second place, Paul Wanczyk, the only other angler with five fish limit had a total of 12.91 pounds as well as the day’s big bass, a 5.60 pound largemouth.

Al Gagliarducci took third place with 4 fish weighing 10.65 lbs.

The day started off clear at 34 degrees but warmed to over 70 degrees by weigh-in time.  Water temperatures were 50-52 and winds were calm for most of the day with periods of mild wind.
