Luka Wins D10 Divisional Championship
Mike Luka of East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvannia won the D10 Championship held on Hopatcong and Greenwood lakes, August 20th and 21st. Luka’s weight for both days came in at 27.86 pounds. For the victory Mike collected a check for $812. He also collected an additional $140 for the Big Bass of the event weighing 4.98 pounds. Luka was pitching soft plastics to docks.
Al Palavinvini of Ringwood, New Jersey secured second place and the Division 10 AOY with a total weight of 17.72 pounds. Al also used soft plastics on docks. Al’s second place finish was worth $400.
Third place went to Derrell Downey Sr. of Washington, New Jersey. Derrell had a combined two day weight of 13.63 pounds. Downey was fishing deeper structure and received a check for $158.
Next Event for the New Jersey D10 will be an early bird 2017 qualifier held on Hopatcong launching out of Lee’s Park Marina on August 28, 2016. The mandatory briefing and pairing will being start at 5:45 a.m. the morning of.

These anglers are earning valuable points toward the divisional angler of the year title. The points champion from each division will compete in the annual Ram American Bass Anglers AFT Angler of the Year Final Round at the Ram American Fishing Tour National Championship.
The Ram American Fishing Tour offers low cost, close to home bass tournaments that are designed for the weekend angler. All ABA anglers fish for money and points. The points advance the angler to their divisional championship and the top 500 anglers in the US are invited to the Ram American Fishing Tour National Championship.
