Bateman Wins Divisional Championship
Tom Bateman of Laplata, Maryland wins the D11 two day Divisional Championship on the Potomac River held on August 20th and 21st. Tom out fished the rest of the field with a two-day total of ten fish that weighed 27.12 pounds. “I targeted bass in shallow water feeding on crayfish most my fish came in a strong incoming current if the water wasn't moving I didn't catch anything. Most of my fish came on senkos and poppers I had about 7 bites each day but they were good ones I didn’t catch my 5th fish on Sunday until 2:50. I’d like to thank Fred’s sports ardent outdoors and Bill Hamilton custom baits," stated Bateman.
Big Bass honors went to Joseph Tippett with a 4.28 pound lunker.
