GA and AL South Head to Lake Eufuala

The Ram Truck Open Series Georgia and Alabama South divisions will hold their final event of the 2016 season on September 17th -18th  on Lake Eufaula.

The competitors will launch from Lakepoint Resort State Park landing in Eufaula, Alabama. Anglers may begin fishing at 6:15 a.m. or safe light on days one and two. The weigh in will begin at 2:30 p.m. each day. All anglers will compete both days of the event. There will NOT be a cut in the field. Registration begins at 4 p.m. on Friday, September 16th at the ABA stage trailer at Lakepoint Resort State Park. Registration for this event ends at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, September 16th with the meeting and partner pairing starting at 7:00 p.m. local time.  

All anglers are required to have either a Georgia or Alabama fishing license.

Anglers fishing the Boater division may weigh in up to 5 bass each day, at least 14 inches in length for largemouth bass and 12 inches for spotted bass. Co-Anglers may weigh in up to 3 bass each day, at least 14 inches in length for largemouth and 12 inches for spotted bass. 

Lake Eufaula will be off limits to all competitors beginning Monday, September 12th through Wednesday September 14th. Official practice begins Thursday, September 15th through Friday, September 16th.

To qualify, anglers must have fished a total of three events within a division or a combination of four events within the two divisions. To enter, anglers fishing the Boater division pay $300 and Co-Anglers pay $150. 

First place Boater is guaranteed a minimum of $10,000. First place Co-Angler is guaranteed a minimum of $5,000. In addition, the winning Boater and winning Co-Angler will win a new SIMMS Challenger rainsuit direct from SIMMS Fishing valued at $400.

Also, the top 20 Boaters and the top 20 Co-Anglers from the two day event will qualify for the Ray Scott Championship on Old Hickory Lake in April 2017.

In addition to cash and prizes for top finishes, Boaters and Co-Anglers fishing this tournament and Ram Truck Open events throughout the season may also win contingency bonuses from such sponsors as Triton Boats, Mercury Outboards, Motorguide, T-H Marine, Abu Garcia, Maui Jim and Livingston Lures.
