Jared Trimboli wins on Lillinonah
Jared Trimboli of St. James, New York won the RAM American Fishing Tour presented by American Bass Anglers, Connecticut Division 6 tournament, held at Lake Lillinonah on Saturday 6 May 2017.
Running out of the Steel Bridge Ramp landing near the town of Bridgewater, Connecticut Trimboli caught a limit of smallmouth weighing 13.05 pounds. Jared said “I caught all of my keeper fish on two baits. The first being a Blue Fox In- Line Spinner and the second a Fishing Bait Club Square Bill crankbait.” For the win Jared took home $406.00 in cash.
In second among the competitors Nunzio Prato of Shirley, New York caught his 5 fish limit of smallmouth bass weighing 12.82 pounds. He pocketed $200.00 in cash.
Taking third place, and Big Fish of the day, Greg Capozzi of Trumbull, Connecticut caught a limit of bass for 10.95 pounds with the big one being a beautiful 5.32 largemouth. Greg walked away with $149.00 for both awards.
In fourth place, Leon Dykas of Torrington, Connecticut caught his limit of fish for 7.88 pounds.
Dave Cangro of Nesconset, New York rounded out the top five competitors with his 5 smallmouth weighing in at 7.33 pounds.

These anglers accrued valuable points toward the Divisional Angler of the Year title. The points champion from each division will compete in the annual American Bass Anglers AFT Angler of The Year Final Round at the RAM AFT Championship. In addition, the top 500 anglers from the various divisions will earn the right to compete in the three-day ABA, RAM AFT National Championship tournament. The RAM American Fishing Tour offers low cost, close to home bass tournaments that are designed for the weekend angler. All ABA anglers fish for money and points.
