Nunzio Prato wins on Twin Lakes
Nunzio Prato of Shirley, New York won the RAM American Fishing Tour presented by American Bass Anglers, Connecticut Division 6 tournament, held on Twin Lakes on 6-24-17.
Running out from O’Hara’s private marina landing near the town of Salisbury, Connecticut, Nunzio caught 5 bass weighing 10.93 pounds. Nunzy stated he caught his fish fishing in deeper water with a jig. The jig also got him the big fish of the tournament with a 2.89 largemouth. He took home $387.00 in cash for both awards.
In second among the competitors, Gary McClarran from Stafford Springs, Connecticut caught his 5 fish limit of bass weighing 11.52 pounds. Unfortunately one of his fish perished dropping him down to 10.72. Gary said he caught his fish on various methods but his wacky rig was the most productive. He pocketed cash for $153.00.
Taking third place, Rick Holmberg Bayport, New York with 5 largemouth weighing 9.09 pounds.
Jared Trimboli and Dave Cangro both from New York, finished in fourth and fifth place respectively.

These anglers accrued valuable points toward the Divisional Angler of the Year title. The points champion from each division will compete in the annual American Bass Anglers AFT Angler of The Year Final Round at the RAM AFT Championship. In addition, the top 500 anglers from the various divisions will earn the right to compete in the three-day ABA, RAM AFT National Championship tournament. The RAM American Fishing Tour offers low cost, close to home bass tournaments that are designed for the weekend angler. All ABA anglers fish for money and points.
