Jason Burroughs wins on Lake Russell

Twenty-eight anglers fished the D25 AFT tournament at Lake Russell. The day started out with temps in the low 50’s and increased to just above 60 for the 3 pm weigh in. There were 105 fish weighed in and all were released alive, thanks to all the anglers for taking care of their fish so that they could be released and caught another day.

Jason Burroughs of Hodges, SC took the win with a limit weighing in at 16.04lbs. Jason earned $651 for 1st Place + $162 for 1st Place in the Option Pot. He also earned Big Fish honors with a 5.41lb largemouth worth $140 for total earnings of $953. 

Tracy Watkins of Williamston, SC came in 2nd Place with a limit weighing 14.09lbs. Tracy earned $404 for 2nd Place + $108 for 2nd Place in the Option Pot for total earnings of $512.

Jerry Kotal of Elberton, GA finished in 3rd Place with a limit weighing 12.32lbs. Jerry earned $137 for his 3rd Place finish.

Jonathon Webb of Elberton, GA finished in 4th Place with 12.28lbs. He received $108 for his 4th Place finish.

Roy Stuart of Anderson, SC finished in 5th Place with 11.99lbs. worth $72. 

The next event for Division 25 will be held 12/17/2017 on Clarks Hill, launching from the Dorn Facility.

These anglers are earning valuable points toward the divisional angler of the year title. The points champion from each division will compete in the annual Ram American Bass Anglers AFT Angler of the Year Final Round at the Ram American Fishing Tour National Championship.
