FRANK BURRIS WINS AFT D72 ON SINCLAIR
Frank Burris of Jackson, Ga takes the win at Lake Sinclair for AFT D72 on September 8, 2018. Frank brought 5-bass to the scale weighing 13.35 pounds to finish first place out of 43 anglers. It was a very hot day, and the fishing was tough, but Frank was happy to put $796 in his pocket at the end of the day! He caught fish in the morning using a popper on points mid-lake. After the sun got up, Frank found a little wind and caught fish using a spinnerbait on blowdowns. He also caught keepers using a shaky head on brush piles and culled keepers several times.
Billy Beam of Stockbridge, Ga caught Big Bass for the tournament using a shaky head on boat docks. It weighed 5.63 pounds, and Billy won $215 for his efforts.

After the awards of trophies and cash payouts, there were drawings for the anglers present. Three $50bills, and a $50 gift card to Sugar Creek Marina were won by Adam Windham, Steven King, Scott Brantley, and Aaron Batson.Thanks to all the 43 anglers that turned out for the first tournament of the new season. A special thanks goes out to Danny Taylor and Jeremiah Cook for assisting with the tournament by checking boats and weighing fish.
The next tournament for D72 will be October 6, 2018 on Lake Sinclair going out of Dennis Station DNR ramp.
